Director (f/m/x) Health Economics & Market Access - EMEA
As Director (f/m/x) Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) - EMEA, you are accountable for strengthening and advancing access to Sysmex's diagnostics and medical device portfolio across the EMEA region. You define the regional HEMA direction, build scalable capabilities and enable country organizations to translate clinical and economic evidence into compelling value stories that support sustainable growth and successful reimbursement outcomes.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Shaping and executing the EMEA HEMA strategy aligned with regional business priorities and portfolio needs
- Acting as regional subject matter expert and strategic advisor on health economics, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), reimbursement and pricing topics
- Establishing and governing a regional HEMA Centre of Excellence, including standardized tools, processes and best practices
- Leading the development, adaptation and reuse of health economic models, value dossiers and HTA/reimbursement submissions
- Enabling and supporting country organizations with tailored evidence generation, value communication and access strategies
- Supporting portfolio and lifecycle decisions through evidence-based insights, scenario analyses and strategic recommendations
- Building capabilities and leading the regional HEMA team while fostering cross-functional collaboration and external stakeholder engagement
You are a strong match for this role if you combine deep market access and health economics expertise with the ability to build and lead scalable regional capabilities in a complex, matrix environment. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- Master's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Policy or a related field (PhD an advantage)
- 10+ years of experience in health economics and market access within diagnostics or medical devices, including regional or multi‑country responsibility
- Proven track record in leading HTA, reimbursement and value evidence generation across EMEA
- Experience building and governing frameworks, tools and processes in matrix organizations
- Strong people leadership skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
- In‑depth understanding of EMEA payer systems and HTA methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English; additional EMEA languages are an asset
